Anaesthesia

The anaesthesia service provides safe sedation and anaesthesia, optimal pain relief and critical care support to all our patients.

Many patients being treated at our hospital will require sedation, general anaesthesia or pain relief. We are able to provide care which is individually tailored to their needs. This expertise is available for every case, whether undergoing routine surgery or presenting with the most complex and demanding problem. The anaesthesia service also assists in the care of the critically ill patients.

Many of the complex conditions and procedures performed in a specialist hospital benefit from the care of a Specialist anaesthetist to obtain the best outcome.

Our anaesthesia service is provided by Specialists in anaesthesia with the support of highly qualified and experienced veterinary nurses.

The anaesthesia service is equipped with an extensive range of monitoring equipment to allow us to pre-empt any problems, as well as facilities to ventilate and warm patients.

The provision of a specialist anaesthesia service is not standard in veterinary hospitals and we are very proud of the service we are able to offer. Our aim is to make anaesthesia and recovery as safe as possible, whilst providing optimal pain relief for all our patients.
