Nurses

I decided to study veterinary nursing at university to work with animals and allow for the opportunity to work and travel across the world. Since graduating in 2013 I have spent my career between the UK in the referral industry and Australia working as an ECC nurse at the University of Melbourne Veterinary Hospital.

I joined NDSR in 2019 as the Ward Supervisor and in 2021 was appointed the role of Operational Manager alongside Katie Lord. The operational role is multifaceted and works to facilitate operational efficiency, optimal caseload, and triage of emergency referrals. I work closely with the clinician team and clinical department supervisors to facilitate efficient and effective processing of NDSR’s emergency referrals based on the clinical capacity to provide a timely service and quality care.

Additionally, the operational role works alongside the Quality Manager, Training Manager and Head of Nursing Services to lead positive change and encourage career development within the nursing team. I recently completed a PGC in Veterinary Business Management with the University of Liverpool that has aided my transition into additional management responsibilities.
