Francesca graduated from the University of Padua (Italy) in 2011. Following graduation she performed a PhD from 2012 to 2016 at the University of Padua with a thesis on intervertebral disc degeneration in a large animal model. Meanwhile, she worked as a Small Animal Veterinarian and Clinical Assistant in Neurology at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the same University.

Francesca moved to the UK in 2014 and started an internship in neurology at Dick White Referrals, where she then completed a three-year residency programme in small animal veterinary neurology and neurosurgery.

She enjoys all aspects of neurology and neurosurgery, with a particular interest in spinal surgery, metabolic and intracranial disorders.
