Joana Gomez Fernandez

Joana graduated from the University of Zaragoza in Spain in 2017. She worked as a general practitioner in Spain for some years, developing an interest in oncology.  After moving to the UK in 2022, she worked at a busy first-opinion practice, before pursuing specialist training. She completed a rotating internship at Dick White Referrals, followed by an oncology internship at NDSR. In January 2026, she stayed at NDSR to complete a residency in small animal oncology.

Joanna enjoys all aspects of oncology, with particular interest in round cell tumours, and special focus on the wellbeing of the patients throughout their treatment.
