Savina graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain in 2014. After two years working in general practice she developed a strong interest in ophthalmology and initially undertook a general rotating internship in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the same university, following this she completed a three year specialist training programme in comparative ophthalmology. After the successful completion of her training, Savina moved to the United Kingdom to join the team at NDSR in October 2020.

Savina enjoys all aspects of veterinary ophthalmology and was lucky to train at a centre with a high corneal surgery caseload, prompting a particular interest in this field. Furthermore, like all at NDSR, she aims to provide excellent patient care, client relationships, and communication with referring veterinary surgeons. After working for 4 years in a University Hospital she is also eager to continue helping and contributing to the continuous formation of other veterinarians regarding ophthalmology.

Outside work, Savina enjoys reading, movies, travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
