We’re delighted to announce we’ve recruited Soft Tissue Surgeon Heather Williams to our team.
Heather joins us from the University of Liverpool’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital, where she worked as a clinician and lecturer in small animal surgery. She has a keen interest in wound management and reconstruction, and oncological surgery.
Heather said: “I am delighted to join NDSR and be part of an experienced, dedicated team which offers such a high level of multi-disciplinary care to our patients, owners and referring practices.”
Hospital Director Gerry Polton added: “We’re pleased to have Heather on board and are confident she will make a significant contribution here at NDSR.
“We have a talented soft tissue service which deals with routine and emergency surgical cases, and Heather’s experience and expertise is a welcome addition to the department.”
Heather graduated from the University of Bristol in 2011, and after working in small animal general practice, returned to the University in 2014 to undertake a Junior Clinical Training Scholarship.
She stayed at the University in an internship role as a small animal orthopaedic assistant while completing prospective clinical research to attain an MSc.
Heather subsequently completed a Senior Clinical Training Scholarship in Small Animal Surgery alongside a Masters in Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College.
